Here's a great story about some long time RAGBRAI riders, 15 years now, from Team Navy. There are many stories every year of people who ride and why they ride and how long they've ridden, etc. This is just one of literally thousands. I really hope I cross paths with the Navy Team guys/girls during the ride:

Every year, there are minor celebrities, athletes and cycling legends that join the ride. Ben Davidson (Oakland Raiders), Greg LeMond and Lance Armstrong, Howard Dean and Bruce Babbitt, Tom Arnold, Alex Karras, columnist Dave Barry, Matt Kenseth and Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR) and others have ridden. Iowa native, actor Ashton Kutcher is rumored to have been spotted but that's unconfirmed. ;)
