Another town's cute RAGBRAI logo/theme above...
We'll spend the night of Day 6 (July 28th) in Waukon, and they offer riders the Empty Nest Winery, Fiesta Vallarta Mexican restaurant, and Iowa's biggest city park. That's good news because it's our final night of camping, and the park offers shade, a pool and nice camping along a lake. Main Street has the huge Goodfellas Party Bar. Green Valley Getaway sells a giant $50 Moscow Mule drink, meant to be shared by a group. Looks like Waukon is also the cheese curd capitol of Iowa, and WW Homestead Dairy serves them up. I don't even know what it is, so I''ll have to try it. Next stop after Waukon will be the town of Lansing on the 29th and farewell to RAGBRAI.
